We really need to get around to making or modifying more tooling to lock into the anvil with a keyed shank. It’s not needed for most hardy tooling, but when extra stability is required, keyed shanks really fill the bill. It’s relatively simple to forge or arc weld the shank onto whatever tool you need to lock down.
