Nuno Borges had hoped to wear a Diogo Jota soccer jersey onto court at his match at Wimbledon but he settled for a black ribbon on his hat instead.

Wimbledon officials blocked Portugal No 1 Nuno Borges’s request to wear a Portugal football shirt on to court in tribute to Diogo Jota, it has been claimed.

Nuno Borges said his team had tried to source a white Portugal shirt to wear in tribute to the late Diogo Jota at Wimbledon but had been blocked by the All England Club
