A mother was arrested after a suspected DUI crash killed her 5-year-old son and another woman in Ventura County. The suspect was identified as Myryam Castillo, 28, of Fillmore, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Initial location: Ventura County, Calif. A new prescribed burn, named Steelhead, was initiated today at 8:45 a.m. in Ventura County, California. The prescribed fire has been burning on private land. Currently, there is no information on the extent of land burned or the size of the crew involved in executing the prescribed fire.

A suspect remains on the run after a man was stabbed to death in Ventura County. The suspect was identified as Miguel Angel Reyes Cano, 41, of Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Myryam Castillo allegedly drove her car into oncoming traffic, resulting in the head-on collision that killed her own son, 5-year-old Lucien, and an innocent woman, Maria Dondiego.
