Shubman Gill's run spree continued in the second Test against England as he went on to leave Virat Kohli's all-time record in the longest format

Shubman Gill joined Virat Kohli in an elite list of India captains as he became the second Test skipper to score 500 runs in England. Gill got to the landmark when he scored 76 runs in the second innings of the Edgbaston Test.

Gill went past Virat Kohli who had scored 449 runs against Australia in 2014/15 when he took over the charge from MS Dhoni.
