As Major League Baseball breaks for Tuesday night’s annual All-Star Game, it’s already been a tumultuous season for a number of teams facing high expectations. One thing that hasn’t changed coming into the break: Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani are still the headliners of the season.

Michael Conforto had three hits and scored twice, Shohei Ohtani took another encouraging step back on the mound in his recovery from elbow surgery and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 2-1 to end a seven-game losing streak.

Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani splashed his 32nd home run of the season into San Francisco's McCovey Cove beyond the right-field wall Friday night. It marked the 65th home run into the water by an opponent in Oracle Park's 25-year history and 171st in all — and 35 of those belong to home run king Barry Bonds.

The Dodgers will have 12 bobblhead nights in the second half, including two Shohei Ohtani bobbleheads, a Kobe Bryant bobblehead, a Fernando Valenzuela bobblehead and more.

Shohei Ohtani officially holds another Los Angeles Dodgers record. He has hit more home runs before the All-Star break than any player in franchise history. Cody Bellinger previously held the record, having gone deep 30 times before the break in his MVP 2019 season. But on Tuesday night, Ohtani launched his 31st homer of the season.
