FOXBOROUGH — It’s clear Mike Vrabel has a vision in mind for his football team. During Vrabel’s introductory press conference at Gillette Stadium’s Sports Illustrated Pavillion, the new Patriots coach was asked what kind of player he wants to fill out his roster.

FOXBORO — Bill Belichick has already said more positive things about Mike Vrabel in his one day as the Patriots’ head coach than he did about Jerod Mayo in a full year. Vrabel was officially introduced as the Patriots head coach on Monday at Gillette Stadium. He was hired Sunday morning.

Mike Vrabel got the call from the Patriots that the team was trading him to the Kansas City Chiefs. Eight years of service in New England, with three titles, and the linebacker was out of there a year too early perhaps rather than a year too late like so many others who played for that team under Bill Belichick.
