The 2025 award show season is in full swing. After the Golden Globe Awards this past Sunday, the National Board of Review Awards on Jan. 7 continued to honor some of the year’s best movies and performances.

NEW YORK — Days after “Wicked” went home from the Golden Globes with a single award for box office achievement, the National Board of Review Awards held space for the smash hit musical, celebrating its cast and director in the New York group's annual gala Tuesday.

Michelle Yeoh made a dazzling appearance at the star-studded gala for the 2025 National Board of Review Awards. On January 7, the Academy Award-winning actor graced the red carpet wearing a stunning sleeveless ensemble in black.

Wicked was popular with the National Board of Review on Tuesday as the venerable group celebrated its top 2025 winner and its director, Jon M. Chu, and stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande during its annual gala dinner.

The gala is one of a series of award shows leading up to the Oscars on March 2 - and Wednesday marks the start of Oscar voting.
