Rinse and repeat: Giants blow late lead vs. Packers in Mike Kafka’s debut without Jaxson Dart
Mike Kafka’s seven-game audition for the Giants’ head coaching job began Sunday. And while the team played hard — and fairly well — for him, this home game against the Packers followed a familiar script for the beaten-down Giants.
The New York Giants recently fired Brian Daboll as head coach and replaced him with assistant head coach/offensive coordinator Mike Kafka in the interim. Kafka has been the play-caller for the New York Giants and will continue to do so for the remainder of the season, but now it should be more of a Kafka offense than a Daboll one.
The Giants (2-8) and the rest of the NFL will be looking at how Kafka can help the team over the final two months of the season.
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll reportedly threatened to strip Mike Kafka of play-calling duties again.
One of Mike Kafka’s first big decisions as interim head coach was to elevate Tim Kelly from tight ends coach to offensive coordinator for the Giants.
In a lost season that resulted in their head coach getting fired, NY Giants must prove they can come together before even more changes are made
Former Eagles quarterback Mike Kafka will serve as the Giants' interim head coach after the firing of Brian Daboll.
