While speculation has run wild, Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders made clear at Big 12 media days that he still doesn't know whether incoming freshman Julian "JuJu" Lewis or Liberty Flames transfer Kaidon Salter will start at quarterback next season.

Julian Lewis has no clue if he’ll be starting this year, as he continues to await word from head coach Deion Sanders. Each of the 16 football teams in the Big 12 Conference sent at least three players for the league’s annual preseason media days event north of Dallas. Colorado was the only one that sent two quarterbacks.
