During an interview with Indian Express, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan revealed that Hrithik could pursue his studies abroad, but the actor did not chase his educational dreams. The reason was that Hrithik wanted to be there with his father, learn his work, and step into his shoes. In the words of Rakesh:

Hrithik eventually debuted with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000), directed by Rakesh, which launched him into stardom. Most recently, Hrithik starred in Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, a gripping tale of an elite Air Force unit combating threats in the Srinagar Valley.
