Electronic Arts announced that it will be lowering its 2025 financial forecast. The decision was made after EA Sports FC and Dragon Age: The Veilguard failed to meet the videogame company’s projections.

As of writing, shares of EA are trading for $115.80. Ahead of the announcement, the stock was changing hands at $142.35.

By Thursday, the publisher had lost $6 billion from its market value of $37.3 billion, following the pre-earnings news. EA FC generates around $2 billion annually, Reuters reports, with around $800 million of that made up by Ultimate Team.

Meanwhile, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, launched on October 31, 2024, has seen approximately 1.5 million players engage with the game across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Despite breaking EA records for concurrent player numbers on Steam, the game fell far short of the company’s expectations, which had been closer to doubling that figure.

EA has revealed that two of its flagship titles, namely Dragon Age: The Veilguard and EA Sports FC 25, underperformed last quarter.
