Stellantis’ Chrysler is recalling more than 250,600 minivans from the model years 2022-2025 over the risk they may have a problem with their side curtain air bags.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the family-focused van doesn't pass certain "Ejection Mitigation" standards.

NHTSA said an issue with the transmission leaves 2013-18 Ram trucks susceptible to being shifted out of park, even when the vehicle is off.

Chrysler has issued a safety recall for two popular minivan models due to airbag issues. Approximately 250,650 vehicles are affected by the recall, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Documents filed with the highway safety agency stated that the recall was caused by issues with the side curtain airbags’ seams.

Chrysler has issued a voluntary recall for over 250,000 of some of its minivan models related to a potential airbag issue. The auto manufacturer is recalling its 2022-2025 Pacifica and Voyager models to replace their side curtain airbags, if needed.

The potential problem involves side curtain airbags that may leak and not hold their pressure after a crash. Chrysler is recalling both Chrysler Pacifica and Chrysler Voyager minivans.

Ranging from the 1500 to the 5500, the issue potentially affects nearly 1.2 million trucks and traces back to two previous recalls by NHTSA.
