Cher has always been supportive of her son Chaz Bono’s gender identity — and she’s making no exception in her memoir. According to The New York Times, the pop legend makes a disclaimer toward the front of Cher: The Memoir,

Cher has revealed that she was financially deceived by her then-husband, Sonny Bono, in the first volume of the legendary singer’s memoir. “He took all my money,” the 78-year-old told The New York Times in an interview about the book, adding that she was not immediately aware of her financial situation and that she trusted Bono at the time.

These days, Cher — now 78 — prefers dating younger men. She has a 40-year age gap with her boyfriend, Alexander Edwards.
