Walgreens will close five Chicago stores next month, part of the Deerfield-based pharmacy chain’s plan to shutter 1,200 locations by 2027.

Back in October, Walgreens announced the closure of 1,200 unprofitable stores around the U.S. In Chicago specifically, five Walgreens locations will shut down between February 17 and February 27, all of them on the South Side. Here is a list of the stores that will be closing:

Nine Walgreens locations operate in Tallahassee. In 2017, Walgreens closed its location at Tennessee and Monroe streets — one of the busiest intersections in the capital city — after only four years of operations.

Walgreens announced it was closing a dozen stores in San Francisco because of what it called "increased regulatory and reimbursement pressures" in the latest round of retail store closures in the city.
