The NASCAR team owned by Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. will attempt to make its Cup Series debut in the biggest race with a champion driver and a partnership with a Grammy Award-winning artist.

JR Motorsports (JRM) will attempt to etch a new chapter to its illustrious racing legacy by fielding a NASCAR Cup Series entry for the first time on this year’s 67th running of the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

JR Motorsports today announced that NASCAR Hall of Famer and two-time DAYTONA 500 winner Dale Earnhardt Jr., along with 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Chris Stapleton, have come together to field the inaugural entry for JRM in the NASCAR Cup Series in the 2025 running of the DAYTONA 500.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports is making its NASCAR Cup Series debut at the 2025 Daytona 500 with Justin Allgaier behind the wheel of the No. 40 Chevrolet.

This marks the first time JR Motorsports has entered a car in a Cup race and it comes at the event Dale Earnhardt Jr. won twice as a driver.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed Justin Allgaier will represent JR Motorsports in the Daytona 500 - closing the door on a potential reunion with Martin Truex Jr.

The 67th Daytona 500 is scheduled for Feb. 16. It will be Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Cup Series debut as a team owner. He's a two-time Daytona 500 winner.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. finally announced his plans for the Daytona 500. He won't be behind the wheel, but he'll certainly leave his mark in February. Earnhardt revealed that reigning Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier will represent JR Motorsports in the Daytona 500.
