After a snowy end of last week, the Texas Panhandle will continue to see nights dip into the low 20s and afternoons in the mid-50s. Not exactly a major warm up for cities in the northern edges of the Lone Star State, but a short-lived reprieve from icy days before the polar vortex hurls another wave of arctic air our way.
“Saturday will be the only day when it’ll be somewhat breezy. Temperatures will warm into the mid 50s, but the winds will be out of the Northwest, between about 15 to 20 miles an hour with occasional gusts to maybe 30 miles an hour,” he said. After that, the area should see stable, dry winter weather for several days.

Texas Sets New Weather Record
A new weather record was set in Texas this week, according to meteorologists. In a Tuesday post on X, the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast office for the Austin and San Antonio area said the daily record high temperature at Del Rio International airport was broken with a reading of 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
