GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. – A Michigan woman was arrested for allegedly abandoning a puppy in a park porta potty. Grand Blanc Township police said the puppy, Hank, was found in a porta potty at Creasey Bicentennial Park and may have been abandoned for more than two days.

GENESEE Co., Mich. (WNEM) - A Genesee County man won $100,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s $300,000 Extraordinaire second chance game.
A 59-year-old won the second chance drawing as part of the $300,000,000 Extraordinaire instant game from the Michigan Lottery.
The Fenton and Holly varsity boys swimming and diving teams had solid performances at the Genesee County meet.
The lucky 67-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket at VG’s Quick Stop, located at 18001 Silver Parkway in Fenton.
Both the Genesee County Road Commission and MDOT are urging drivers to stay off the roads if possible, especially as even colder air is expected overnight.
"It is a culture change, and we are seeing the results already," said Fayette Sheriff James Custer, whose county already uses the IGNITE program.
With Martin Luther King Jr. Day just around the corner, residents throughout mid-Michigan are preparing to celebrate and honor the civil rights leader’s legacy on Monday, Jan. 20.
