The City of Tuscaloosa municipal election for the District 1 City Council runoff will be held Tuesday. Incumbent Matthew Wilson will face Joe Eatmon for the District 1 seat on the Tuscaloosa City Council. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. in Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama Voting Rights Act, or SB 7, ensures greater oversight, creating a fairer, more transparent election process.

The bill would require an audit to be performed in a randomly selected precinct in each county after any general election.
