The Utah Hockey Club has had an injury-filled year on its defence for most of this season. Michael Kesselring and Ian Cole are the only two defencemen to play in all 50 games.

Smith Entertainment Group announced Wednesday that it will conduct another survey to determine the name and branding of its NHL team. Two of the proposed names came from previous surveys, while the third is new.

John Marino’s arrival has helped steady the backend without Sergachev. The defenseman — who was traded to Utah this summer from the New Jersey Devils — made his team debut on Jan. 14 and has played in four games. The 27-year-old missed training camp and the first half of the year after undergoing lower-back surgery in October.
