Photos and videos shared on social media by the beloved actor's wife, Emma Heming Willis, are the first images of the star in public since his dementia diagnosis in 2022, according to People.

The actor — who is battling dementia — was seen shaking hands and chatting with police officers in an Instagram video posted Thursday by his wife, Emma Heming.

Bruce Willis retired from acting in 2022 and was then diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. He's rarely been seen in public since then.

"Bruce never missed a chance to show his gratitude with a heartfelt handshake," the actor's wife Emma Heming says.
