Former Atlanta Braves reliever AJ Minter has love for the franchise, but he proved Alex Anthopoulos right by signing with the Mets.

Left-hander A.J. Minter and the New York Mets have finalized a $22 million, two-year contract. Minter can opt out after the 2025 World Series and become a free agent again.

Minter is the second addition for the Mets this week, with the club bringing back DH/OF Jesse Winker on a one-year deal Thursday.
