The Colorado State Rams have defeated the Wyoming Cowboys in this year's Border War and claimed the Bronze Boot.

However revitalized the Wyoming football program felt after its victory in New Mexico, it wasn’t readily apparent to the 36,720 in attendance for “The Border War” on Friday night at Canvas Stadium. Wyoming looked woefully unprepared in a 24-10 loss to Colorado State in the 116th meeting between the rivals set 66 miles apart along Highway 287.

The Wyoming Cowboys could not overcome a slow start in a 24-10 loss at Colorado State on Saturday evening inside Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colo. It was the 116th edition of “The Border War” with the Cowboys falling to 31-26 in the Bronze Boot Portion of the series.

Friday marks the 116th meeting between Colorado State and Wyoming football in The Border War game. The schools announced the rivalry will continue with eight more games between 2028 and 2035.
