It’s time to let out a big howl. The full “wolf moon” of January will soon be glowing in the winter sky. The wolf moon will be the first of 12 full moons of 2025 — three of which will be slightly bigger and brighter “supermoons.

The Wolf Moon will arrive on Jan. 13, 2025, at 05:27 p.m. ET, according to NASA. The moon will appear full for about three days around this time, from Sunday evening into Wednesday morning, the agency said.

The Full Wolf Moon in Cancer is happening on January 13, 2025. At this point in life, you probably are well versed in the moon’s cycles. But, just in case, the moon goes through different phases each month and during a full moon, it looks like a big ball shining down from the sky.
