Republicans have won enough seats to control the U.S. House, completing the party’s sweep into power and securing their hold on U.S. government alongside President-elect Donald Trump.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's Republicans on Tuesday inched closer to winning a majority in the House of Representatives and with it full control of Congress, which would give Trump power to advance his agenda when he returns to the White House in January.

Republicans continue to steamroll their Democratic opponents as new election results show Republicans retaining control of the House of Representatives. This will give Donald Trump at least two years to push his agenda.
