Six wildfires are burning in Southern California, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire).

The Hughes Fire near Castaic, north of Los Angeles, was 24% contained on Thursday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.

Officials are warning that mudslides could hit the areas affected by the fires as a rainy end to the weekend is expected.
