One of the most closely watched names in this year’s free agency period is Damian Lillard. The veteran guard, who spent last season with the Milwaukee Bucks, is now at the center of growing speculation regarding his next destination for the upcoming NBA season.
“Free agent star Damian Lillard is open to signing with a team this offseason under the right terms and conditions as he continues rehabbing,” Haynes posted on social media. “He is receiving ample interest, but is in no rush to make a decision.”

The Bucks have consistently gone all-in around Giannis to keep him happy. They did it first with the Jrue Holiday trade, and that resulted in a championship. They did it again with the Lillard trade, and that was a huge bust. This is another bold move that will cost the Bucks for years to come, but if it keeps Giannis in town, it’s worth it.
There were conflciting reports that came out about the Bucks and if they told Damian Lillard they were waiving him.
Yet, despite the endless chatter, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported back in June that “There is currently no trade market for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, because he has not asked for [a trade] and the Bucks are not looking to trade him.”
