A small plane carrying four people crashed into shallow waters next to a remote coastal town in Alaska on Wednesday, killing everyone on board, officials said.

Eight people were killed on Thursday when a Cessna 441 charter aircraft crashed while approaching Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site Airport, a remote U.S. Air Force-operated base around 450 miles west of Alaska's largest city.

The Air Force identified 2nd Lt. Leah Borsich, 23, as a victim of the deadly Alaska charter plane crash that killed all eight on board near Cape Newenham.
