Despite the storm’s lack of a well-defined center, it will generate profound rainfall across Honduras, western Nicaragua, eastern El Salvador, Belize, parts of Guatemala and the Mexican state of Quintana Roo through Monday as it gradually tracks north.

A somewhat rare November storm system is gathering steam in the Caribbean Sea. Tropical Storm Sara will eventually make a turn to the east and Florida.

When the eye looks symmetrical, that often means the storm is not encountering anything to weaken it. Sara is the 18th named storm to form in the Atlantic in 2024.
