Auburn basketball star point guard Tahaad Pettiford was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence (alcohol) Saturday morning, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office recent arrests database. Pettiford, 19, was booked into the Lee County Jail at 12 a.m. Saturday morning before being released on a $1,000 bond.

Pettiford had plenty of stellar performances, but one of his best was a 70-68 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens on January 18 th. He scored 24 points for Auburn with Johni Broome out of the lineup due to injury. It is a good example of what could be a regular occurrence as the focal point of the offense this season.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that the Tigers will face Oklahoma State University in an exhibition game on October 15 at 7:00 p.m. CST at Birmingham’s Boutwell Auditorium. The game is part of the “Ballin’ in Boutwell” event.
