A 28-year-old New Jersey man died from injuries sustained after being struck by lightning on a golf course. Simon Mariani was golfing at Ballyowen Golf Club when he was struck by lightning on July 8 and died on July 15. Mariani was a finance associate and Notre Dame graduate with a passion for various hobbies.
A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Ocean County in New Jersey until 11:30 p.m. Parts of Atlantic County were also originally included in the warning, but the warning has expired there.
