U.S. stocks are drifting on Tuesday as Wall Street’s momentum slows after setting record highs in each of the last two days. The S&P 500 was 0.3% lower in early trading and on track for its first loss in four days.

Tesla (TSLA) is poised to release its second-quarter delivery figures on Wednesday, July 2, with Wall Street anticipating that it will deliver 390,000 vehicles, a sharp decline from 443,956 units in the same period last year.

After sell-offs in yesterday's trading, Tesla ( TSLA 5.14%) stock is rising Wednesday. The company's share price was up 4.6% as of 2 p.m. ET amid the backdrop of a 0.3% gain for the S&P 500 and a 0.7% gain for the Nasdaq Composite. The stock had been up as much as 5.4% earlier in the session.
