This marks the first time JR Motorsports has entered a car in a Cup race and it comes at the event Dale Earnhardt Jr. won twice as a driver.

JR Motorsports today announced that NASCAR Hall of Famer and two-time DAYTONA 500 winner Dale Earnhardt Jr., along with 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Chris Stapleton, have come together to field the inaugural entry for JRM in the NASCAR Cup Series in the 2025 running of the DAYTONA 500.

JR Motorsports (JRM) will attempt to etch a new chapter to its illustrious racing legacy by fielding a NASCAR Cup Series entry for the first time on this year’s 67th running of the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

The NASCAR team owned by Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. will attempt to make its Cup Series debut in the biggest race with a champion driver and a partnership with a Grammy Award-winning artist.

JR Motorsports has entered reigning Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier into next month's season-opening "Great American Race" in a Chevrolet sponsored by the whiskey label created by 10-time Grammy winner Chris Stapleton.

Justin Allgaier will drive the No. 40 car fielded by JR Motorsports After years of discussion to do so, JR Motorsports is entering the NASCAR Cup Series. They’ll run their first race in the Daytona 500.
