The Met Office has issued nearly two full days worth of weather warnings, with five parts of the UK currently affected by the latest yellow alerts.

The Met Office has issued a fresh snow warning as snowfall is predicted for Northern Ireland. It comes as some areas in the UK already experienced snow, with further expected this week

Wednesday’s warning comes into effect at midnight and runs until midday. The Met Office said: “Snow showers will develop during Tuesday night and through Wednesday morning. Some lying snow is likely, with 1-2 cm in places and a risk of up to 5cm over higher ground. Ice will readily form on untreated surfaces.”
