As the federal government shutdown carries through to another day, making it the longest in U.S. history, flight disruptions continue.
"This is about where’s the pressure and how do we alleviate the pressure," Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said late on Saturday it has approved the use of Johnson & Johnson’s (JNJ.N) single-dose COVID-19 vaccine for use by pilots and air traffic controllers.
Duffy said the FAA will reduce flight capacity across the nation's airspace starting on Friday if air traffic controllers continue to be unpaid.
