Several international airlines have resumed flights to and from Indonesia's resort island of Bali, an official said on Thursday, after multiple eruptions of the Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki volcano belched ash up to 10 km (16 miles) into the air.

International flights to and from Bali were grounded on Wednesday following a powerful eruption from Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki, located on the remote island of Flores, Indonesia ... The 5,197-foot volcano shot up ash at least 17 times on Tuesday alone.

Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki volcano on the remote island of Flores in East Nusa Tenggara province spewed towering columns of hot ash high into the air since its initial huge eruption on Nov. 4, killed nine people and injured dozens of others.
