Pluto – a roughly one-and-a-half year-old Pit Bull Catahoula Leopard Dog mix – was surrendered to the care of the MSPCA-Angell on June 20 after an alleged case of being abused.

A heartbreaking moment caught on camera sparked outrage and has lead to an investigation and, hopefully, a brighter future for a dog in need.

Pluto, the dog in a widely-shared video, appearing to be hit with a leash by his owner, will soon be ready to find a loving home.
