Hi there, Yes you can do discover Scuba diving day trip. Search for All4Diving or scubadiving-phuket and under tabs Padi Courses look for Discover diving Try Dive Doing this dive your experience may also give you a credit towards the PADI Open Water course. But I would suggest you to consider actual diving course with your wife as its amazing. You would go out on a day trip as all other divers and have awesome day. Not sure how many dives you do, but you get to enjoy a day on the boat with other divers, have great food and lots of fun.

We can organize something like this on a beautiful scuba diving trip vessel ( see pictures in Trip advisor) to some very nice islands ( Racha NOI/YAI ). However, it cannot be done on Phi Phi Le islands, which is a national marine park , and the law in Thailand not authorize any uncertified divers in National marine park. Evry one who will propose you Discover scuba divng in PhiPhi Le island is against the law. And if any problem occured during the dive, you might not be able to be covered by any insurance.
